Two truths and a lie

This is a fun, classic game that encourages everyone to participate. It serves as a great icebreaker if you’re just hanging out around the campfire at night. This is best played between people who don’t know each other very well (think camp neighbors who decided to hang out together).

Each participant will think of 2 facts about them (it could also be something they did) and write them on a piece of paper. Get creative with what you write – the weirder and more vague the fact, the more fun the game will be. Also, make up a lie.

Take turns telling these 3 “facts” and have everyone guess which of the 3 is the lie!

Wink murder

Another classic game perfect to play around a campfire. This one is best played by a large group of people – the more the merrier!

Everyone sits in a circle and will be asked to close their eyes. The “leader” (someone who will not play) will walk and choose the “killer” by tapping him on the shoulder. If you get a touch, then you are the killer.

Once the assassin is chosen, the leader will ask everyone to open their eyes. The murderer then proceeds to “kill” the victims by secretly and discreetly winking at them and must do so without anyone in the circle noticing.

If he winks at you, you’re out. It can only be won if someone who is still in the game discovers that the killer winks at someone.

Famous people

This is a fairly easy game with simple rules but it is a lot of fun to play. Basically someone will start the game by calling out the name of a famous person. The next person in the circle should think of another famous person with a name that begins with the first letter of the famous person mentioned above. If it’s your turn and you can’t think of an answer, you’re out.
