Beauty tip: foundation secrets for a flawless complexion

1. For a natural look, your foundation should match your skin tone. Try the bases along the jaw line. You will know which is the best color because it will disappear on your skin.

2. Spread the foundation in your hands and pat it on the face, then smooth with a sponge making sure not to pull or stretch the skin. Be very careful in the area around

your eyes where the skin is super fine. Do not forget to apply the makeup base on the eyelids and lips.

3. For foundation to last, apply moisturizer first, priming foundation. Dry skin will absorb foundation if foundation is not given. For oily skin, use an oil-free moisturizer and powder foundation.

4. On hot days, the base can be difficult to keep cool. Set foundation in the morning with a loose powder and tassel, then do regular touch-ups throughout the process.

The day.

5. To cover blemishes, apply foundation first, then reapply red-neutralizing concealer. For noticeable blemishes like dark circles and birthmarks, use a yellow concealer (available from Mary Kay). Don’t use too much powder on problem areas because it will draw attention to it.

6. To avoid a baseline around the jaw, apply foundation as usual, then dab a little moisturizer on your hand and blend onto your neck.

7. For the evening, mix some glitter powder with your powder and place it where you want to attract the light, such as the bridge of the nose, under the brow bone, temples, cheekbones, chin and shoulders.

8. Always use a foundation with a sunscreen of at least 15 to avoid future sun damage.

9. Change the shade of your foundation if your skin color changes.

10. After applying primer, move closer to a window to make sure it looks natural. Natural light is the ultimate test.
