Step Brothers – Macaroni and Cheese

Brennan Huff is an unemployed 39-year-old who lives with his mother. Dale Doback is an unemployed 40-year-old who lives with his father. But what happens when mom and dad decide to get married? These two grown losers will have to tolerate each other’s presence by not only living together, but also sharing a room.

Things shouldn’t get too hot. After all, there are some basic rules.

Rule #1: Brennan is under no circumstances allowed to EVER play Dale’s drums. When the temptation gets too much for Brennan, he ends up with a bat and a golf club.

Macaroni and Cheese Recipe:

Ingredients:
7 ounces macaroni
1/4 cup butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups of milk
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup dry breadcrumbs
2 butter spoons
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni pasta and cook 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; to drain. In a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the flour. Cook for about 1 minute, until smooth and bubbly; stirring occasionally. Mix milk, cream cheese, salt, pepper, and Dijon mustard. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens.

Add cooked macaroni and Cheddar cheese. Pour into a 2-quart saucepan. In a small bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, butter, and parsley; spread over macaroni and cheese. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and heated through.

Cooking time: 40 minutes. – Servings: 6.
