Article marketing is enormously beneficial as one of your internet marketing tools.

There are a lot of hidden benefits with article marketing. The first reason that article marketing is incredibly powerful is because you do it once and it lasts forever.

Article marketing is also probably the best thing any individual could do to force themselves to be prolific. Why do I suggest that?

I’ve been watching a lot of marketers and a lot of successful people for a long time and I’ve noticed a pattern… the most prolific always wins.

What the hell does that mean? Here’s the idea: if you get out more than your competitors, if you’re more visible, then there’s a good chance more people will discover what you’re doing.

Well, writing articles is one way to be visible. You can write the articles yourself, or you can have an article written based on another type of content you’ve created. For example, if you made an audio show, like a teleseminar, or if you make a podcast, or if you make a video, or if you make a PowerPoint presentation, or if you have an e-book that you’ve written, whatever the case may be, that’s the content. it can be made into one article, actually, probably multiple articles!

Articles are very quick and easy to write. They are usually between 300 and 700 words… realistically, that’s a page. Basically, you write a few paragraphs, provide a juicy nugget on a topic, and leave people wanting more.

When you write good quality, unique content that intrigues and engages people, it’s a great way to get your content on search engines. Then it gets posted to tens or hundreds…and if it’s a really good article…even thousands of other websites on a permanent basis. Basically, this leaves your mark on the internet in very interesting and powerful ways.

So that’s the first way and the. It lasts forever.

Once you have the item, you’ll be in a situation where you can use that single item in many different ways to be more prolific with the information you’re putting out into the world. Which brings me to the second reason article marketing is so incredibly powerful…

Every time you write an article, you have content that you can use in other ways…so your only writing effort becomes many media to communicate that information!

Repurpose that article by converting the content and using it with your other internet marketing tools:

• blog posts
• Emails in your autoresponder series
• Commenting on forums
• Comment on other people’s blogs.
• Read it and create a podcast.
• Print your article in an offline publication

So here’s the deal, start writing articles… or have them written for you… make them unique and intriguing. They are one of the few forms of marketing that when you do them once, they stay forever! Then use those items in as many ways as possible, leveraging that effort so that you get the job done once but benefit from it many times over.
