What is leadership?

Leadership is the ability to influence people to work toward the achievement of a common goal. The power to influence others to act is the most critical skill a leader must possess. In network marketing as in any organization, to lead a group of individuals one must be able to convince others to follow. Persuading others that leadership is valuable to their success will create a team that will seek leadership experience to grow their business and eventually work independently of the leader. A network marketer must be able to duplicate leadership skills that will result in a strong organization that is fruitful and profitable. When a leader is able to sort, seek out, and develop leaders at each level of an organization, the leader masters how to work smart instead of hard.

They create and inspire a positive work environment that promotes innovation in an organization. A leadership style that helps others, communicates the organizational vision and is motivated to develop innovation is imperative to promote change. Vision is an important component of transformational leadership that can guide change in any organization. In network marketing, a leader must have a vision, goals, and objectives that are weekly, monthly, and yearly. Goals must be measurable, realistic and achievable. The behavior of a leader helps stimulate the participation of followers. Leading by Example portrays the behaviors that followers must exhibit in order to become leaders and grow their business. Network marketing is a helping profession. Once a leader has learned to help others, the organization will grow exponentially. The ability to promote personal growth and encourage new ideas that support the innovation process inspires others.

Inspire others to succeed

Inspiring others can be a difficult task for a leader. Inspiration is what influences others to action. It is the thrill one gets from taking up a cause to achieve set goals. A network marketer must have the drive and the will to make a change in their lives, be empowered and committed to the vision, goals and objectives of the organization. The impulse to want to change one’s financial perspective in one’s life through network marketing is possible, but results are based on individual efforts. Joining an organization does not equal success. A person can only achieve success based on the production of the product. Working for “You Inc.” It is the most difficult career a person will ever have, but it is one of the few professions that can generate financial wealth. One must be motivated, self-starter and possess the ability to take initiative to make life happen. This can only be achieved by having the willingness to go the extra mile to make it happen.
