Eagles shine against bosses

The Eagles needed to go out on Sunday and get an impressive win, and that’s what they did. They looked good on both sides of the ball and Kevin Kolb was able to lead the team to victory. In doing so, Kolb became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for more than 300 yards in his first two games.

LeSean McCoy looked great running the ball 20 times for 84 yards and scoring a touchdown. He also had a nine-yard reception.

DeSean Jackson and Brent Celek had great matches again. Both had over 100 receiving yards and both were able to find the end zone. Jackson seems to make big plays every game and I expect the trend to continue. Celek gets better every week and caught the most passes of any Eagle on Sunday.

Jeremy Maclin did a good job filling in for Kevin Curtis. He took a lot of pressure off of him with the way Jackson and Celek were playing, but he still managed to catch four passes for 33 yards.

Michael Vick got to see action on the field, but he wasn’t much of a real threat. It’s good that he came in and I expect him to make some big plays along the way.

The defense again played a great game keeping the Chiefs under 200 yards of total offense. They sacked Cassel 3 times and despite not forcing many turnovers, they didn’t allow the Chiefs to take advantage of any of their third down opportunities.

Many people will probably downplay this game since the Chiefs are not a very good football team. However, the Eagles won this game the way they were supposed to. They fired at full speed and it was a great victory.

What did you enjoy most about Sunday’s win over the Chiefs?
