My best tips for the HTC Sensation

If you are one of the many people who own HTC Amaze 4G, you may be feeling somewhat overwhelmed with the features it offers. In this article, I’ll give you my top tips to get the best experience from your smartphone.

First, I suggest that you take some time to see all the benefits of the HTC Sense user interface. This is the interface that runs on top of the Android Gingerbread operating system and brings a number of innovations to the phone. You can assign up to 7 home screens, so you can customize them with apps and widgets to optimize the screens for different scenarios. For example, you can set up a driving home screen with HTC’s location and navigation applications, and a social media home screen. To do this, you may want to include Facebook and Twitter applications that come standard, or use the FriendStream widget that uses data sources from both sites. To customize your home screens, simply select the screen you want to edit and tap the customize icon in the lower right corner.

My second suggestion is to turn your HTC Sensation into a well-equipped music player. Just connect your phone to a computer using the included micro USB cable (which doubles as a charger). Open the phone’s music folder and drag and drop your music files onto it. The phone comes with an 8GB micro SD memory card to start with, but you may want to upgrade at a later date with up to a 32GB card if you have a larger music collection. When you open your music player on HTC Amaze 4G, all the track information and album art will be included. Then install a music widget of your choice. The standard music player widget does a good job, but there are others included with the phone, as well as additional ones available for free download from HTC Hub. The HTC Sensation comes with a 3.5mm sp earphone. Now you have everything you need to enjoy your favorite songs on the go.

Then you may want to configure the camera with your preferred settings. To do this, open the camera app and tap on the menu shortcut at the base of the screen, where you can then access the settings menu. From here, you can select the quality of the images and videos according to your preferences, as well as enable or disable the LED flash, autofocus, and geotagging functions. If you have limited space on your SD card after loading your music on the phone, you may want to choose a lower resolution as this will take up less memory when saving an image. However, if you have a lot of space left, feel free to set the videos to 1080p full HD and enjoy the results. Once you’ve shot a few images, you have the option of streaming them wirelessly to a compatible TV or instantly sharing them via email, Facebook, or Twitter.

HTC Sensation is packed with features, and by doing the tasks above, you’re well on your way to getting the most out of your new smartphone.
