A MacBook Guide: Apple MacBook Pro 13.3-Inch Laptop (April 2010)

At the time of writing, this is the latest 13.3-inch Apple laptop model from 2010. Most of its improvements are evident in the specifications and features of this MacBook Pro model. The new model features a processor 2.4Ghz dual core, a new NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics card, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 250GB of storage. It retains its wide selection of connectivity options including Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity, 2 USB ports, and a FireWire 800 port among many others.

Design-wise, not much has changed on this model, except for the slightly slimmer power adapter cable. It retains its sleek, durable aluminum body, roomy trackpad, and oh-so-comfortable keyboard. However, there were some additions to the multi-touch feature. The touchpad now supports “inertial scrolling” which enables fast scrolling, just like on iPhone and iPad. The 1280 x 800 resolution screen was a joy to use, with vibrant colors and good viewing angles.

Battery life improvements have also been made to the new 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro. The new model’s battery can last up to 10 hours in one go, which is extremely good for any full-featured laptop standard. Overall, although the improvements made to the new model weren’t impressive, we’re still very pleased with them. Thanks to ample 4GB of DDR3 RAM (and faster processor), multitasking with multiple heavy applications was a seamless experience.

With a more powerful set of specs, a better graphics card, longer battery life, and the same old price, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro gives you great value for money. Currently, you can get one of these for around $1184 per unit.
